Flashcard Fridays – “Bioinformatics for Next Generation Sequencing” virtual issue

In 2009, Bioinformatics (Oxford Journals) launched a “virtual issue” about NGS. This is basically a regularly updated list of papers relevant to next generation sequencing that have been published in the journal.

The articles are organized in the following categories:

  • Alignment
  • Assembly
  • Base Calling
  • CHIP-seq
  • Diagnosis
  • Miscellaneous
  • Pipeline
  • RNA-Seq
  • Variant detection
  • Visualisation

It’s a nice collection of tools and algorithms and, as far as I can tell, most papers are open access. So if you’ve run out of papers to read (which unfortunately, never happens to me) or looking for NGS tools, check out this virtual issue!
