Privacy Policy for the Omixon Website

Protecting your personal data and your private sphere is very important to us. To ensure that you are fully aware of the collection and use of personal data on our website, please take note of the following information.

Omixon Biocomputing Kft. (seated at 1117 Budapest (Hungary), Fehérvári út 50-52.; hereinafter referred to as “Omixon”) as data manager provide you (hereinafter referred to as “User” or “you”) with the following privacy notice pursuant to Art. 20 of Act CXII of 2011 of the Hungarian Parliament (“Inftov.”), Act XLVIII of 2008. of the Hungarian Parliament (“Grt.”), and Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (“GDPR”). The provision of personal data is voluntary and based on the User’s agreement as well as needed to fulfil Omixon’s services to the User, based on Art. 5. of Infotv. and Art. 6 of GDPR. The personal data that you supply Omixon with will be processed for the purposes as specified in Art. 2 of the present notice.

Personal data concerning you, supplied by you, will be processed in compliance with the principles of necessity, fairness, lawfulness and transparency established in GDPR. The terms of this privacy notice shall be valid from when your consent is given, until when it is withdrawn.

Your personal data will be processed by employees of Omixon on a need-to-know basis, acting as data processors and managers, with or without the aid of electronic, print, IT or remote instruments and, in any event, according to logic closely correlated with the purposes listed below.

  1. Collection and Processing of Personal Data

2.1 Contact Forms – Online Request, Application

The User may send Omixon information through contact forms available on the website, as well as contact Omixon by e-mail. Omixon will store and use your name, e-mail address, country, company or other institution, address, phone number and any other personal data you enter into the contact forms for the purpose of contacting you individually and deliver all information you need. Data you enter when completing an online request or application form, will be stored and used for the purpose of the process you requested. This will only happen after you have agreed to your data being stored and processed, indicated by accepting the appropriate checkbox provided with the contact form. Your data shall be stored per your consent, until the either you withdraw your consent or the purpose of the handling of the personal data is fulfilled.

Your data shall be handed over to the following entities: Google; cloud computing and hosting provider; supervisory authorities.

2.2 Newsletter

When subscribing to our newsletter you have to submit your e-mail address. When you subscribe to the newsletter we store the IP address you are using at this time and the date of subscription. This data serves only for purposes of verification in case your data is misused by a third party. We will only use your personal data to send you the newsletter.

The newsletter contains information about Omixon, our products, services and some general market information.

Your e-mail address will remain stored on our server until you unsubscribe from our newsletter. In addition to the methods as stipulated in Art. 1., it is possible to unsubscribe at any time using the link provided in the newsletter.

Your data shall be handled by Omixon’s following employees: managing director; personnel concerned with sending newsletter and data protection; data protection officer.

Your data shall be handed over to the following entities: hosting and newsletter service provider; supervisory authorities.

2.3 Job Application

You may hand in your job application to Omixon. Omixon may handle your personal data in order to evaluate whether to enter into an employment agreement, moreover, to supply you with information regarding Omixon and/or any job openings. By sending your personal data, you give your consent for the storage and evaluation of your personal data, moreover, you give your consent for Omixon to store your data in its database in order to send you job opportunities.

Personal data handled by Omixon, if provided by you: name; name at birth; nationality; place and date of birth; address; qualification and corresponding certificate; proposed scope of activity; e-mail address; telephone number; LinkedIn, Facebook and Skype ID; any other CV information provided by you.

Your data shall be handled by Omixon’s following employees: managing director; HR personnel and administrator; data protection personnel; data protection officer.

Your data shall be handed over to the following entities: occupational physician; cloud computing and hosting provider; third party recruitment officer; supervisory authorities.

2.4 Browsing Omixon’s Website – Cookies and Google Analytics

Omixon.com website uses “cookies”, which help to make our internet presence more user-friendly, effective and secure – for instance, by speeding up navigation around our website. In addition, cookies enable us to measure things such as how often certain pages are accessed and how visitors tend to navigate the site. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer. Please note that some of these cookies are copied from our server to your computer, although in most cases these are “session cookies”. Session cookies are different in so far as they are automatically deleted from your hard drive at the end of your browser session. “Persistent cookies”, on the other hand, remain on your computer and allow us to recognise your computer the next time you visit our site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website (including your IP address) is transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The European Commission – under Art. 45 of GDPR – has recognized USA as providing adequate protection for personal data to be transmitted. Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website in order to compile reports on website activities for website operators and to provide other services related to use of the website and the internet. Google will also transmit this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. Under no circumstances will Google connect your IP address with other data from Google.

Please note that this website uses Google Analytics with the IP anonymisation extension, which means that IP addresses are only used in shortened form to prevent them being directly linked to an individual.

  1. Transmitting Data to Third Parties

Our website is hosted by a professional service provider. This website operator has access to the data transferred and stored on the website, as indicated in Art. 2 of the present policy. The website service provider is obliged to comply with privacy laws and to maintain confidentiality. Your personal data shall only be transferred to third parties as indicated in Art. 2 of the present privacy notice with your prior consent.

  1. Right of Revocation

The User may withdraw his/her consent for the handling of his/her personal data for any or all of the purposes as specified in Art. 2. at any time, free of any charge. The withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

The User may withdraw his/her consent by sending Omixon an appropriate message by e-mail or post, or any other appropriate method indicated in the corresponding part of Art. 2.

If the handling of personal data is based on the User’s consent, revoking such permission results in the deletion of the User’s corresponding personal data.

When using the online form your personal data is transmitted over the internet in encrypted form using SSL. By taking technical and administrative measures, we secure our website and other systems against attempts by unauthorised persons to delete, destroy, access, alter or transmit your data.

Our internet presence includes links to other websites. We are not able to influence whether the operators of other websites comply with privacy regulations.

In accordance with the Infotv. and GDPR, you have a right to be provided with information free of charge regarding your stored data and, where applicable, a right to have this data corrected, blocked or erased. You may request information about the handling of his/her personal data and may also request the cessation of the use of such data for a particular purpose.

You may also request information on the data processors, the data processed thereby, the source thereof. The list of data managers will be constantly updated and is available upon request.

In connection with the handling of personal data the User is entitled to the legal remedies offered in compliance with Infotv., namely the right to objection under Art. 21. of Infotv. and under Art. 22. of Infotv. may turn to the relevant court to enforce his/her rights and there receive any compensation he/she may be due.

If the User has not been able to settle his or her objection, complaint or request with Omixon (the data controller) in a reassuring manner, or if the User at any time considers that there has been a violation of his or her personal data or that there is a direct danger thereof, he or she may notify the Nemzeti Adatvédelmi és Információszabadság Hatóság (National Data Protection and Freedom of Information Authority; NAIH; headquarters 1125 Budapest, Szilágyi Erzsébet fasor 22/c.) thereof.
