Sales Manager, EMEA

The Sales Manager, EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) reporting to the Director of Sales, EMEA, is primarily responsible for opening new sales opportunities and closing existing sales opportunities through a combination of Hunting (70%) and Farming (30%) Activities to achieve Omixon’s topline EMEA revenue target. The Sales Manager will primarily sell directly to customers in the territory, but in certain territories will drive sales through managing distributor relationships. The Sales Manager will be responsible for increasing utilization of Holotype HLA, up-selling to newer versions and cross-selling of new product lines. The Sales Manager will be responsible for weekly reporting of opportunity pipeline development (Qualification → Closed Won) and working with post-sales teams (FAS Team for onsite or Remote Support at HQ in Budapest). Strong emphasis on closing Annual Volume and Multi Year contracts will be your priority.

  • Building relationships with Accounts as identified by the Management Team and the Director of Sales, EMEA

Field Application Scientist, US

The Field Application Scientist (FAS), reporting directly to the Head of Lab and Field Operations and then to the Chief Commercial Officer, is primarily responsible for providing pre­ and post­sales on­site technical training and support for Omixon’s HLA (Human Leukocyte Antigen) products in the North American and South American market.     ●  Provide post­sales on­site technical training and support for Omixon Holotype HLA (Assay + Software)
    ●  Provide technical support to Omixon’s customers across all product lines by responding to technical inquiries that are received via telephone, email, fax, web, mail, or in­person

Desired Profile

    Either:

a., CHS or CHT in HLA with 3+ years equivalent clinical/research experience

b., PhD or M.Sc with 3+ years equivalent clinical/research experience, or B.Sc with 10+ years equivalent research experience in molecular biology, biotechnology, genomics or similar

●  Knowledge of NGS technologies is highly advantageous (hands­on experience on both library preparation and sequencing, especially on the Illumina platforms, is a plus)
●  Comfortable with NGS analysis software programs
●  Confident strong communicator of scientific and technical information ­ an ability to communicate precisely and succinctly with leading experts in the field demonstrating scientific/technical expertise, both oral and written

Customer Support Engineer, US

The Customer Support Engineer, reporting to the Product Development Manager in Budapest, and managed by the Chief Commercial Officer in Cambridge, is primarily responsible for technical and IT triage level support of Omixon’s software products in the North, Central and South American markets. Functional and Automated Tester

We are looking for an Functional and Automated Tester colleague who will work as part of our R&D team.

The Functional and Automated Tester is responsible for testing of two standalone Java applications, including a number of editions, versions and optional modules of each.

Key Responsibilities

The tasks include planning test cycles (working closely with the Scrum Master and Product Development Manager), performing functional testing of the product by authoring, maintaining and manually executing test suites and test cases, and – where possible – designing, authoring, maintaining and executing automated test suites to replace current manual tests. Works in close contact with the research and development team to provide them with internal feedback on company products.  

The Tester is expected to become an expert in the functional aspects of the product, and as such may occasionally also provide assistance to the support team in investigating and reproducing customer issues. The Tester may also be asked to demonstrate the function of the product both internally for training purposes and also externally to customers, either in person or remotely via a web conference.

As an integral contributor to the software product development lifecycle, the Tester will be expected to have input to the release process for the software products, and will assist the research and development team with assembling and documenting the new product features in each release.      

  • Tester
    • Execute and maintain unit, regression and functional test plans, test suites test cases for all Omixon HLA software in JIRA/Zephyr
    • Administer test case results
    • Create, administer, document and execute automated test cases
    • Perform manual and automated testing of all Omixon HLA software
    • Support marketing and sales team with valid and up-to-date information regarding company products
    • Provide feedback about company products to the development team
    • Work closely and collaborate with the other Omixon teams including R&D, Product Management, and Quality
    • Deliver presentations and host training sessions on Omixon’s HLA software products

    Customer support

    • Assist support issues with scientists or developers with support issues if needed, and retain role as primary support contact as required
    • Record, track and manage support related issues in Jira
    • Record and report customer feedback to the HLA business.

Required Skills

  • Degree in Technology/Biology/Informatics/Bioinformatics
