Omixon exhibited at the 63rd Annual Meeting of the American Society of Human Genetics that was held held at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center (BCEC) in Boston, 22-26 October. The ASHG Annual Meeting is the largest human genetics meeting and exposition in the world.

Twitter was on fire during the event by using the #ASHG2013 hashtag and the analytics of that hashtag demonstrated the real power this channel can have for communication about genetics as well. See our Twitter channel for more.

One of the “big things” we hope to achieve in the near future with the help of next generation sequencing (and other modern laboratory and diagnostic methods) is personalized medicine. If you”re not familiar with the term, check out this Wikipedia article. Very briefly, personalized medicine (or PM) includes everything from drug selection to disease prevention strategies, it just has to be tailored to the needs of a specific patient.

We are happy to announce that Omixon is exhibiting at the 63rd Annual Meeting of the American Society of Human Genetics that will be held at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center (BCEC) in Boston, 22-26 October. The ASHG Annual Meeting is the largest human genetics meeting and exposition in the world. During the conference, Omixon will also hold a scientific workshop titled “HLA Typing Using Next-Generation Sequencing“, 12.30-14.00 on 23rd October (Room 260, Level 2).
